Tailwinds Charitable Foundation seeks partnerships with small to mid-sized, domestic nonprofits who improve the lives of youths living in underserved communities.

Our foundation’s funding considerations are made by invitation only. We do not accept unsolicited proposals for support.

How We Fund:

Geographic Focus:

We primarily fund in geographies of personal importance to the foundation’s Founding Members - California, Maine, Maryland, Montana, and New York - while remaining flexible in our giving to provide grants outside of these areas as needs arise.

Type of Funding:

We believe investing in our partners’ internal capacity translates to long-term impact for the youth served. We provide nonprofits with flexible support not only for specific programs but for their holistic needs, such as operations, infrastructure, and fundraising.

Type of Organization:

We fund 501c3 nonprofit organizations based in the United States. Primary candidates for TCF partnership are small- to mid-sized nonprofit organizations that provide education, mentorship, and support to youth facing social and economic adversity in the United States.
